People First Bank Foundation Community at Heart Appeal 2024
We are very excited to launch our third annual Community at Heart Appeal.
13 December 2019
The Heritage Bank Charitable Foundation has received a huge boost following receipt of a generous $100,000 contribution.
In a great display of Christmas spirit, QBE’s Lenders’ Mortgage Insurance arm has made the $100,000 contribution to the fledgling charity.
The Heritage Bank Charitable Foundation was established in 2018 and became fully operational this year.
It aims to improve community wellbeing and life outcomes across Australia, with a focus on young people, the disadvantaged, at-risk families and the elderly.
QBE Lenders’ Mortgage Insurance’s tremendous contribution will help the Heritage Bank Charitable Foundation provide grants to registered charities to support their great work in various communities across Australia.
“For the Charitable Foundation to be sustainable and provide much-needed grants for years to come, donations are crucial. This incredible contribution is very much appreciated and will go towards some great projects that will help improve the lives of people who need a helping hand,” Heritage Bank Charitable Foundation Chairman Bill Armagnacq said.
“We can’t thank QBE LMI enough for their generosity.”
Heritage Bank CEO Peter Lock said: “This contribution is incredibly generous and we’re honoured that QBE LMI has backed the work the Heritage Bank Charitable Foundation is doing.”
QBE Insurance is one of Australia’s largest insurance companies and has offices across the world. It has origins dating back to 1886, with its insurance products providing Australians with peace of mind for more than 130 years.
“At QBE, we are committed to giving back to the community and we are proud to make this contribution to the Heritage Bank Charitable Foundation,” Sally Anani, QBE Head of Claims, Credit Lines said.
“The Foundation’s aim of improving health and opportunities in communities across Australia is a hope QBE also shares, so we’re happy to contribute to the cause.”
